Technical Specifications
We do rolled canvas prints as wide as 60" (1" unprinted white edge) by as long as 40ft. However, it is not recommended to print that long because it is very hard to handle such a large print, creases and other damages may occur while handling.
We do not print wider then 5 ft seamless on canvas material.
Our canvas and ink is already UV treated, so we don't need to spray it again, making it less flexible and prone to cracking when stretched.
For rolled canvas we use the following material :
Name of canvas material - Sihl 3609
Weight : 370g/m2
Thickness : 17 mil
Composition : 90% cotton, 10% polyester, acrylic coating
Finish : satin which is best for printing, water resistant surface.
Please take note that a Glossy finish gives glare and a Matte finish makes colors bland.
Roll Widths : 36", 54", 60" - maximum printable 59" which gives you about 0.5" on each side for stretching.
Print Resolution:
We print on textile materials at 1080 or 1440 dpi in full-color (CMYK) process.
Graphic resolution:
Create your files to a manageable scale (versus the full scale of the final board). We recommend working at a scale of 1/4' = 1'.
Please provide a minimum resolution of 300 dpi for any photographic elements.
For banners under 6 sq feet please create the artwork at 1':1' scale with at least 150 dpi.
For banners between 6 sq feet and 24 sq feet please create the artwork at 1/2':1' scale with at least 300 dpi.

Our inks are made with automotive-grade pigments designed to resist fading for 3 years when placed outdoors and is already UV treated

Tips to Care for Canvas
Prints can be wiped with a slightly damp, clean, chemical-free cloth.
For optimum longevity, keep out of direct sunlight. Don't place stretched prints too close to direct heat or high variations in cold/warm. Canvas can be tightened if it becomes loose. You can purchase canvas retensioner at any craft store or on the Internet. It can be sprayed on the BACK of the canvas and let dry overnight or for a few hours.
Touch up. You can touch up small spots in the canvas with thin-tipped markers if your canvas gets scratched or damaged. Be very careful when touching up specks. Artists can also use paint to touch up small blemishes if needed.
